Study of Polymer Flooding in Heterogeneous Porous Media by Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

چکیده

Polymer has been successfully used to enhance crude oil recovery at high water cut stage. However, the application of polymer flooding is limited by heterogeneity reservoir. In this work, role in heterogeneous reservoir was explored nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Parallel core displacement experiments were carried out study formation. The results showed that area related permeability and pore connectivity. At end stage, residual not evenly distributed porous media. percent increased with increase diameter. Crude from cores larger pores higher, broke through highly permeable first. After 0.3 PV injection, mobility decreased. injection a dual effect, an effect traction effect. responsible for driving large pores, whereas small pores. 1 solution channeled rapidly. washed completely. NMR water-phase spectrum line much higher than low core. Under different porosity, peak oil-phase indicated mainly effective on > 40 μm.

Verification of the PAGAT polymer gel dosimeter by photon beams using magnetic resonance imaging

Background: In this work investigation of the normoxic PAGAT polymer gel dosimeter such as sensitivity, the R2-dose response with post time and the percentage depth dose (PDD) of PAGAT polymer gel dosimeter have been undertaken. Materials and Methods: Using MRI, the formulation to give the maximum change in the transverse relaxation rate R2 was determined to be 4.5% N,N'-methylenbis- ...

Spatio-temporal anomalous diffusion in heterogeneous media by nuclear magnetic resonance.

In this paper, we describe nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of water diffusion in highly confined and heterogeneous colloidal systems using an anomalous diffusion model. For the first time, temporal and spatial fractional exponents, α and μ, introduced within the framework of continuous time random walk, are simultaneously measured by pulsed gradient spin-echo NMR technique in samples of...

Self-diffusion of nonfreezing water in porous carbohydrate polymer systems studied with nuclear magnetic resonance.

Water is an integral part of the structure in biological porous materials such as wood and starch. A problem often encountered in the preparation of samples for, e.g., electron microscopy is that removal of water leads to a decreasing distance between supermolecular structural elements and a distortion of the structure. It is, therefore, of interest to find methods to investigate these material...
